Almost nothing in my 12v system has power (one radio and one chartplotter on the bridge have power, but the other pair do not). Engines have power and start (separate batteries). I have double-checked the battery charge level, and cleaned/tightened connections at the battery. I am suspecting...

Hi,
I am looking to buy a Silverton 43my. I have a few in my area to chose from. The one I am most interested in has the smaller Cummins 6bta motors that produce 370hp vs 400 - 450 hp of the other options. The boats standard motors were gas 400hp. I am defiantly looking for diesel. My concern is that the boat may be under powered with 370 Cummins. Would love to hear from anyone that may have experience with this boat and particularly with the Cummins 6bta 370.
Thanks in advance for any...
So, i bought a new 20 gallon Atwood heater, the exact same model that came with the boat and proceded to remove the old leaky unit.

New into yachting, I have been researching the many options before making a decision upon which manufacturer to purchase given our limited budget. That limits us to used vessels. Often I have heard it said that the older boats (1970's & 80's) "was when these were really built well". So I wonder if this is true, why. Perhaps due to the difficult economy of the 1980's? Due to trying to lower prices to serve a larger market? Desire for a greater profit ratio &/or to satisfy investors?...
Looks like I may be jumping from a 2452 Bayliner to a 1990 34ft silverton? I took it on sea trial yesterday and it seemed to be just fine. The water was very smooth but in the San Juans and Canadian Gulf Islands this is only fairly common. Anybody know how this will handle in a 4-5 ft following or broadside sea?
Also, is there anything I should know about the 34ft silverton before I make the leap?
