OceAnco, Tim Heywood 105M project 'Dana'​

Hold on, this 105-meter superyacht isn't under construction but it is just a concept showcasing OceAnco's ability to build this large and complex yacht. For the yachting enthusiasts and elite out there, project 'Dana' may appear very reminiscent in many aspects to another existing yacht. With the sand color hull and white superstructure, classic bulges on the forward upper deck, long sloping transom and the signature Tim Heywood reverse-line that plunges to the bow's waterline, you may think "Pelorus" and you would be correct.

The 344-foot Dana is also similar length too but besides those features the new proposal is unique-enough on her own. One of her striking features is the main pool situated on the aft main deck...

Eurocraft, Gaspard Yachts collaborate on 43M motoryacht "Peacemaker"​

A new project is presently under construction and it is a collaboration between builder Eurocraft and Gaspard Yachts. The 43-meter is going under the project name "Peacemaker" and can be completed in the next year and a half. Peacemaker is currently for sale with an asking price based on request. She stretches 43-meters, an overall beam of 8.00-meters and draft just under 2-meters at 1.90-meters.

Peacemaker will be a performance type yacht expected to run to a top-end speed of 30-knots and cruise at around 24-knots. She will have a pair of MTU 16V 4000 M90s below decks. Accommodation is to be provided for up to 10 passengers and 6 crew members. There will be a full beam mastersuite on the main deck, which will include a fold-down balcony. Special features include a jacuzzi located on the aft end of the upper deck, bar and alfresco dining...

Sunseeker technically launches 155 superyacht "Blush"​

The largest motoryacht ever built by UK builder Sunseeker has rolled out of the shed and is now being prepared for full launching into the water in early February. Now named "Blush", the Sunseeker 155 showcases an Ice Blue hull color and white superstructure. After launching, Blush will be prepared for sea trials and then delivery to her owner Eddie Jordan in Spring.

The 155-foot yacht boasts impressive accommodation for as many as 12 guests in ultimate style and luxury, while the forward lower deck area can accommodate up to 10 crew, with a separate captain’s cabin. Blush is the first semi-displacement, round bilge hull from the company. The unique interior will feature an exclusive design palette that pulls colors like gray, blue, green to the fore and help create an overall chic aqua atmosphere...

Benetti Sail Division unveils new 41-meter motoryacht design​

Best known for distinct pocket-sized motoryachts with a classic feel, Benetti Sail Division recently unveiled a new 41-meter motoryacht design that is both modern and classy at the same time. One of the distinctive features seen on the tri deck design is the relatively long bow. That element really adds a depth to the overall design and gives alot more fore-deck space to guests.

The aluminum and steel yacht has an Italian design by Acube Design. They also conceptualized the interior of this yacht while of course, Benetti Sail Division would be the builders. She is a yacht with fully customized interiors being afforded to the new owner. There are four different proposals ranging from glossy wood up to a very classic understated minimalist feel for the interior concepts. A top speed of 15-knots is dependable on the load factor and by twin MAN V12 engines...

Feadship launches hull 688, 46-meter megayacht​

The first month of 2014 hasn't passed and Dutch custom superyacht builder has launched their first yacht of the year. The 46-meter custom project known has hull 688 left her construction shed this morning at Feadship Aalsmeer yard. If you follow closely the yacht's external design it may be evident that this general design was seen elsewhere before, like "Como", "Ad Lib", "Loretta Anne" et al from New Zealand builder Alloy Yachts. Dubois Naval Architects were responsible for the exterior design of hull 688.

The twin-screw semi-displacement megayacht features a silver coloured hull and black masked windows along the main deck. Upon launch most of her surfaces were still covered in protective film. On the inside, the design was done by Redman Whitelely Dixon (RWD) and the accommodation appears to be for possibly 10 in the owner's suite and four other cabins that are located on the lower deck...

Construction on the Columbus Classic 68-meter superyacht underway​

The Columbus Classic 68-meter is well under construction at the moment and bears design and Naval Architecture by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec. The Columbus Classic 68-meter is hull number C04 and represents the largest of the yachts currently under construction by this company. The yacht features a private owner's deck plus five to six spacious staterooms on deck that can accommodate ten to twelve guests. As you would expect, an elevator connects all decks for guests to use. She is expected to be compliant with the new LY3 and ILO regulations and is being built to ABS Unrestricted Worldwide Operation, Maltese Cross A1, Commercial Service, E, Maltese Cross AMS, Maltese Cross ACCU, MCA and LY3 classification...

Sunseeker 155' superyacht build update​

UK builder Sunseeker has updated us on the progress of the first hull in the 155-foot series, their current flagship model. Construction is coming to an end and the tri-deck superyacht has already undergone rigorous testing at the Sunseeker shipyard facility in Poole. Commissioned by Formula 1’s Eddie Jordan, the first 155 Yacht has been the talk of the town since it was first announced. Southern Wind Shipyard announce the launch of SW82#02 "Grande Orazio" ​

South African based Southern Wind shipyard is working actively to finish the outfitting of "Grande Orazio", hull number 2 of the new SW82 mini-series. Just three months ago the delivery of the first hull, "Feelin’ Good" was announced and the yacht has arrived in Genoa a couple of weeks ago after a challenging maiden voyage from Cape Town.

CRN signs Letter-of-Intent for 68-meter superyacht for Chinese client​

Italian yard CRN maybe close to fully signing contract for a 68-meter superyacht. That is because they recently signed a Letter-of-Intent (LOI) with a Chinese client for the said 68-meter displacement yacht. If the LOI moves forward into a fully-signed contract, the 68-meter superyacht will represent the largest superyacht signed to a client from China by CRN.

The LOI for this yacht was signed in Weifang on the 14th of January. ‘The signing of our first LOI for 2014 with a Chinese client is not only something to take pride in, but also a true witness to the strategic path we have embarked on,’ comments Lamberto Tacoli, chairman and CEO of CRN...

Second Swan 115-foot sailing yacht sold​

The new Swan 115-foot Flush Deck model is off and running with the recent sale of the second hull in the series. The performance sailing yacht is expected to be equally as good for ocean sailing as well as regatta participation. The design of the Swan 115 is by the world-renowned naval architect German Frers. The interior is customizable by the owner. The master suite can either be situated forward or aft and three or four guest cabins cabins can be fitted onboard. Additionally, there is an option for a separate dining area.

Oyster to debut Oyster 825 sailing yacht at Dusseldorf​

This month, Oyster will be debuting their new Oyster 825 sailing yacht to the world at the Dusseldorf Boat Show. The racing-pedigree yacht bears lines drawn by Rob Humphreys with the styling of the Oyster in-house team. You can look at her as a upgrade from the Oyster 82. The first hull is yet to be delivered but will do so right after the Dusseldorf Show.

The model line doesn't stop at hull 1 either as there are a couple other hulls under construction already, all to launch in 2014. The first hull of the Oyster 825 series accommodates her owner and guests in three suites situated aft of the midships area. As many as four crew members can be accommodated in a different region that is forward of the central elevated main saloon. The Oyster 825 – beautifully designed, crafted and delivered. Fitzroy 37.5-meter FY17 fast cruising sloop to launch soon​

The latest sailing yacht from New Zealand builder Fitzroy Yachts will soon launch from their facilities. It will be a joyful moment for the owner of FY17, a fast cruising sloop and on the flipside it will be a sad time for some of the workers at Fitzroy, as some of the will be laid off. FY17 was built in all aluminum to a design by the world famed Dubois Naval Architects. The interior was done by Design Unlimited.

She will have some special features onboard like a raised saloon and a fixed bimini over the cockpit, which will have mechanically operated sliding windows. Her strong clean lines will make her a striking sight on the water, while her top performance levels will make her a worthy competitor on the regatta scene...

MondoMarine 54-meter superyacht construction progress​

In Build: MondoMarine 54-meter superyacht - YachtForums.Com Well construction on MondoMarine's 'M54' superyacht has been progressing with now both the hull and superstructure completed. That means the engines are onboard and works are focused on outfitting the plumming and wiring of the entire yacht. M54 is offered for sale and just recently MondoMarine drove her out of the indoor building hall to allow prosective clients to see the vessel in full light and open to have a better sense of her design and scale.

Prospective owners still have the ability to customize her interior to their tastes and M54 can be delivered from this point on in sixteen months. The layout can host five or six suites taking the guest berthing to ten to twelve...

First Horizon PC52 Power Cat Will Deliver to U.S. Owners May 2014 ​

The first Horizon PC52 power catamaran, the newest model in the Horizon PC series, recently reached a milestone in her construction when the hull, deckhouse, and flybridge were joined together, and Horizon is pleased to report she is scheduled to deliver on-time to her U.S. owners in late May. Before the official delivery, the PC52 will make her world debut with Horizon at the 2014 Taiwan International Boat Show, May 8th -11th in Kaohsiung.

Designed with an owner/operator in mind, the PC52 provides a comfortable operating platform and follows the styling and spacious layout of her bigger sister, the Horizon PC60; her 22’ (6.75M) beam offers a voluminous main deck as well as three guest accommodations below deck...

Update on the Selene 92 Ocean Explorer motoryacht​

One of the largest Selene Yachts is currently under build, the Selene 92, and is progressing well. A major milestone was reached recently with the deck being mated with the hull paving the way for the rest of the construction and fitting-out to take place. Expect this Ocean Explorer to be delivered by the Spring of 2014.

The 92 is the result of a multinational collaboration of designers and architects under Howard Chen's design team leadership. Howard Chen has worked closely with renowned Dutch architect Guido De Groot and a group of International consultants to develop a contemporary take on the long range yacht whilst capitalizing on builder Jet Tern Marine's high quality construction and reputation for experience and innovation in the displacement yacht sector...

Delta Marine 40.5-meter motoryacht "Onika" under construction​

American builder Delta Marine is presently working on a 40.5-meter motoryacht for a repeat client. The yacht has been confidential for a while now but a few details have emerged about this project recently. The owner's previous yacht was called "Onika" and was built by Delta Marine and now they have turned to the same yard to build them a bigger yacht utilizing the same name.

The new Onika is going to be 40.5-meters, some 7-meters longer than the predecessor. Also wider than the former yacht with a beam of just under 9-meters (8.8-meters) and a slim draft of just 2.1-meters. Both the design and interior of the new Onika are the work of the in-house departments at Delta. The interior of Onika, will boast custom stone and glasswork. oak timbers will be a prominent feature with honey-toned Spessart oak one of the choices...

Heesen 50-meter Project 'Azuro' build update​

50-meter Project 'Azuro' is at a very advanced stage of construction at Dutch builder Heesen Yachts. She is expected to take to the water coming on to the end of March 2014 so her build works are coming to completion and work is being focused on finishing the luxurious Francesco Pazskowski interior and final touches. Azuro is a member of the 50-meter line from Heesen with sister-yachts like "Satori", "Ventura" and "Ice Angel" already sailing the world's oceans...

Jongert 32-meter performance sloop build update​

Dutch builder Jongert has the first hull in its new Performance Line at an advanced stage in construction. The 32-meter hull, to be sloop-rigged, with Naval Architecture by Doug Peterson and interior as well as exterior design by Rhoades Young Design. New Build Canados Oceanic 90 Fast Explorer sold​

The first Oceanic 90-foot Fast Explorer yacht by Canados under construction has been sold! If you were thinking about buying that one, it is not available anymore however, you may be able to see it on display at this years Cannes Boat Show later in the year. The vessel is well advanced in construction with delivery expected to take place in June 2014. The overall aim expected for for a yacht of this type is to offer the owner with a vessel that is higher performance in nature while still allowing lower-than-usual fuel consumption. Additionally, the ability to carry sizable toys and tenders generally not allowed on a sub 100-foot motoryacht. Better communion with the ocean is expected to be increased with planned communication with indoor and outdoor regions on the three decks...
