  1. Jarrett Bay Announces Jarrett Bay 90-foot Sportfish
Earlier this year, U.S. Sportfish specialist Jarret Bay Boatworks announced the construction for an 88-foot sportfish yacht. Now there is another announcement for a slightly larger model, a 90-footer. The 90-footer will naturally become the manufacturer's flagship model. It is going to be built under hull number 62 with an LOA of 90-feet, BOA of 22.6-feet and a maximum draft of 5.8-feet. She is going to be powered by twin MTU engines 16v2000 M94s at 2,600 horse power each. The brief was pretty simple for this build. Working with a customer armed with a knowledge of boats, high tech engineering and a passion to competitively fish anywhere, the brief was to use state of the art materials, design, and electronics to create the ultimate sportfish boat. After buying and building boats of varying construction and sizes, the Jarrett Bay 90’ super yacht Hull 62’s owner entrusted salesman John D Riggs with helping him reach this pinnacle of sportfish ownership.

“It’s always great to play a role in delivering boating dreams, but this delivery and build process is one I’m especially proud to be a part of,” Riggs commented. “The friendship I have forged along the way will make it all the more exciting when we have that first blue at the back of the boat. I can’t wait to see if that’s in North Carolina, Panama, or the Vanuatu Islands!”

She is expected to carry six staterooms and five heads to berth over ten guests. Both the master and crew quarters are to be fully beamward. There is an office in the master for added flexibility and convenience for the owner. State of the art electronics are still being specified but will include Seakeeper’s latest stabilizer, high end centrally located A/V equipment, as well as redundant commercial grade electronics. Carrying 4,500 gallons of fuel, the Jarrett Bay 90 will have the range and speed to travel anywhere fast.
