Cheoy Lee launches 90' "Serenity" Expedition​

The Serenity 90' Expedition from Cheoy Lee is a yacht of extremes. A big, burly, no nonsense exterior houses a vivacious, lighthearted interior designed for comfort. Recently launched, she embodies a design by Tom Fexas. Although launched in Hong Kong, she will be delivered formally in Australia as she was purchased from the Cheoy Lee Australia division. She will be completed and delivered in early 2011 to her owner(s)...

Abeking and Rasmussen 60-meter "Kaiser"​

"Kaiser" is the latest super yacht to be launched by German builder Abeking and Rasmussen. She is a sister ship to the 2009 launched "Elandess" (hull 6481). Kaiser is hull 6482 and features a design in and out by the same team that worked on the Elandess. Donald Starkey was involved in dealing with the exterior styling while Bannenberg and Rowell conceptualized the interior decoration.

Kaiser's launch occured after the final delivery of the 78-meter "TITAN", (which is the third yacht in Abeking's 78-meter series). She's equipped with twin CAT diesel engines that facilitate her greater than 4,000 nautical mile range. Like her sisterhip (Elandess), the engine package is expected to produce a top speed of 16 knots with cruising at 14 knots.

The nearly 1,100 tonne yacht was built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure...

Cleverly designed 55-foot 'Paperboat'​

The Paper Boat concept is one that comes from a familiar site and pasttime for many children and even adults alike. The childhood memories of making paper boats and sail them on any area with a stream of water deep enough to host it could become a reality in yachting design. The Artax Studio has designed a concept for a 55-foot yacht that is based on the same paper boat.

The yacht literally looks like the paper version and hence is called 'Paper Boat'. The center of the boat features a glass structure in a pyramidal shape. Inside this structure, the social activities of the yacht is staged. There is a kitchen island in the center of the pyramid which houses sink, prep and cook area. Bar-styled seats line one side of the island, allowing an intimate experience for guests while a meal is prepared.

Proteksan & Turquoise 60.20-meter "Yogi"​

Turkish yacht manufacturer Proteksan & Turquoise is well underway in finishing one of their next yachts. The 60.20-meter NB49 yacht is now known as "Yogi" and is expected to be launched and delivered in 2011. Yogi is also expected to join the fleet of charter yachts roaming the oceans once completed.

The 792 tonne yacht is being built to comply with the MCA (MCA ; LY2). Yogi has an impressive beam of just under 10-meters sure to provide ample space for lavish charter guests. The indoor and exterior space, personal and public remains abundant while giving guests the feel for utmost luxury in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

Yogi is expected to be able to host up to twelve guests in six well-appointed cabins. Of the many exciting features on board Yogi one of the most notable is a large swimming pool located on her stern on the main deck...

Mulder 76-foot wheelhouse "Remo"​

The new and recently completed Mulder 76-foot wheelhouse called "Remo" is a gem for owners to cruise on year-round. In the Netherlands, the average motoryacht is used mainly during the summer months. Most Mulder owners, however, are not restricted to a specific ‘sailing season’. Decked out with lavish seasonal decorations, the recently delivered Mulder 76 Wheelhouse offers the ideal setting for a festive Christmas holiday.

The Mulder 76 Wheelhouse is a streamlined motoryacht with a round bilged steel hull, aluminum superstructure, large wheelhouse and partially covered aft deck. Her intelligent and inventive interior layout features an open connection between the wheelhouse and the lower saloon, giving the yacht an exceptionally spacious feel.

Remo even features room for a tender. The aft garage in the lazarette is just large enough to host a 12-foot long tender...

MCC launches 46-meter "Mazu"​

The awaited launch of the project previously known as "Marco Polo II" has occurred. Now known as "Mazu" since advanced stages in construction, the 46-meter explorer type motor yacht is a near sister to the first in the series, "Marco Polo".

Her hull color, in contrast to Marco Polo’s distinctive green, is a magnificent burgundy red, with contrasting white superstructure. She has a 9.20-meter beam, draws 2.90-meters, has a cruising range of 7000 nautical miles @ 11 knots and 3300 nautical miles at 13 knots. Like her sister ship Marco Polo she has 1 x CAT 3512B, 1911HP @ 1600RPM.

Vicem 46-meter motor yacht​

Vicem yachts based in Turkey prides itself on building "the yacht for yachtsmen". They also are demonstrating that they can build beautifully over 100-feet. This is evident in their 46-meter motor yacht which is currently under construction. She features lines penned by Mulder Design and an interior conceptualized by Art-Line Studios.

The new 46-meter mega yacht is being built in Antalya, Turkey at their state-of-the-art facility where the best in composite construction is taking place to make this Vicem a reality. "Composite materials, applied with resin infusion and sandwich techniques, were chosen to achieve the best possible strength-to-weight ratios."

"The result: a 200 ton yacht, powered by twin 3650 HP MTU engines, that delivers a 25 knot top speed and efficient ocean-crossing range at reduced speed...

Vicem to debut 78' Classic Cruiser at FLIBS​

If the Vicem 75-foot Classic cruiser was a hit, then the slightly up-sized 78-foot version will automatically be likewise. Vicem is set to debut the 78-foot long Classic Cruiser at the 2010 edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The 78' is the latest in Vicem's Classic flybridge Cruiser series and showcases everything Vicem is known for.

It is built using cold molded methodology, having a classic appearance and aura as well as being customizable. The normal standard version of this 78-foot classic features four cabins. There is a master stateroom, a VIP, and two other guest rooms. Many of the improvements and updates on the vessel have a European flair especially in the interior. Very clean design lines describe the interior. Light and earthy to neutral tones dominate the interior with satin-finished mahogany and light toned fabrics complete the look...

After the sale of the Selene 92 Ocean Explorer on the Cannes boat show Selene Ocean Trawlers will continue to expand their all new Ocean Explorer line and set their sites on the super yacht market, next with the Selene 120 Ocean Explorer, the first 2 of which have already been sold with construction scheduled to begin at the Jet Tern Marine shipyards in China early in 2011.

H2X launches Blue Coast 95-foot "Cartouche"​

Very recently the French yacht builder H2X took the Blue Coast 95 from the land to the water. The large sailing catamaran also known as "Cartouche", was lifted into the water via crane. Work on this beauty started near mid-2009 and progressed steadily until her recent launch, taking just around fourteen months.

Heesen Secures Contract on 6500 FDHF​

Heesen Yachts is proud to announce the signing of its sixth new-build contract in 2010. Proteksan & Turquoise completes 58.20-meter "Baraka"​

Turkish power-house in yacht building, Proteksan & Turquoise formally announced the delivery of their 58.20-meter "Baraka". Baraka was launched back in mid April and was quickly completed and handed over to her owner(s) by June 2010.

The 860 tonne yacht features a vibrant interior with the base color being white. Splashes of eye-popping colors accent many of the public spaces onboard. Even in the bathrooms, this colorful, almost sun-burst vibrancy pervades amidst more neutral base colors.

Of course last year (2009), Italian builder, Baglietto launched and delivered a 53-meter yacht also called Baraka. However, since then she has been renamed "Berkut". Now, there is the new 58-meter Baraka built by the Turkish builders at Proteksan & Turquoise.

The new Baraka features twin CAT 3512B marine diesels capable of pushing her to a top speed of just above 16 knots...

Rossi Navi unveils 42.80-meter concept "Ketos"​

Earlier this year, Italian yacht builder Rossi Navi, unveiled a new design in concept for a 42.80-meter mega yacht. The nearly 43-meter new design, dubbed "Ketos", actually means 'Big Fish' when translated from Greek to English. It is easily understandable where the Big Fish theme comes in with the black lines on the forward section of the yacht mirroring that of gills on a fish, even a shark.

Ketos is completely envisioned to be made from marine-grade aluminum. The design of the new vessel is elegant and streamlined. It is a happy blend between a sport style and a very refined one, in which the aggressive design doesn't penalize the comfort and the wide spaces. The 4 big windows in the Owner's suite and the large sun area ahead are the distinctive signs giving to Ketos not only originality, but also a well defined identity...

Vitters completes 180-foot "Marie"​

Dutch yacht builder Vitters are on the verge of wrapping up another successful build. The 180-foot long ketch "Marie" completed sea trials and has been christened already. She is the result of a wonderful collaboration that mirrored a previous design, in "Adele".

"She is a sister ship to the triple award-winning sailing yacht Adèle. Vitters Shipyard, Hoek Design and David Easton where chosen by the owner to create a 180' fabulously looking and sensational performance yacht." The hull has been created in Alustar and built to satisfy ABS and MCA requirements.

On the inside, Marie creates room for the accommodation of guests in two twin cabins and a double VIP type stateroom. There is also a Master Stateroom that has its' own deck house and cockpit...

Kingship commences work on 144' "Green Voyager"​

Work has recently started on a new project by Kingship Marine Ltd. The 144-foot "Green Voyager" started block assembly last month. She is being built from steel and aluminum and will play host to ten in five cabins.

"The first steel block of the yacht commenced assembly in mid September 2010. Green Voyager is a low environmental impact 44m motor yacht using diesels, shaft generator/E-motors, diesel-electric and advanced power management and battery power systems for propulsion and hotel loads. Designed by Axis Group Yacht Design of Viareggio the yacht will achieve efficiency increases of 16% in propulsion and around 20% for hotel loads along with unprecedentedly low level of emissions using e.g. a Piranha zero discharge sewage system that exceeds MEPC 159(55) requirements. The yacht will exceed RINA Green Plus Platinum notation...

Burger Boat completes 43.30-meter "Sea Owl"​

The Burger Boat company of the USA recently completed a 43.30-meter full displacement yacht called "Sea Owl". Sea Owl was launched back in July 2010 and later that month, initial sea trials were successfully completed. Since then, the Burger Boat team were working on final fit out works.

Sea Owl is a success story garnered by the callaborative effort of Burger, Vripack and Andrew Winch Designs. A prominent exterior feature is Sea Owl's distinctive green hull and off white superstructure making her highly recognizable wherever she travels. Custom touches like hand-crafted pieces also sets her apart...

Royal Huisman complete 57.50-meter "Twizzle"​

Dutch yacht builder Royal Huisman launched the widely anticipated 57.50-meter long flybridge ketch called "Twizzle" back in July. Since then she has been completed and formally delivered to her owner(s). She has been built with Naval Architecture by Dubois Naval Architects with exterior styling interior by UK firm Redman Whiteley Dixon and interior styling and decoration by Tod Hunter Earle Associates.

The name Twizzle may sound familiar and probably it does. That is because the owner of this yacht built a Feadship with the same name in the past. The new flybridge ketch by Royal Huisman is a ground breaking design from a technical and technology standpoint. She also is the first fly-bridge sailing yacht for the design firm.

Twizzle has been built fully from aluminum and has a displacement near 550 tonnes. She is 11.59-meters wide and carries a variable draft...

Lurssen launches 85-meter "Pacific"​

A few months ago, German super yacht builder Lurssen launched a 85-meter long yacht built under the Project name 'Josi'. Josi then recieved her final name, "Pacific" nearing her launch. Pacific isn't exactly the most contemporary of designs in terms of aesthetics. In fact she appears more like a naval vessel akin to that association of another Lurssen build, "Skat".

Pacific's different exterior styling has been formulated by the boards of German Frers. On the inside, the design styling comes by the pen of famed designer firm, Bannenberg & Rowell. Pacific is one of four yachts that Lurssen successfully launched so far for 2010. Of course the other there being "Phoenix 2" (Project J24), "Solemates II"(Project Katie Sue II) and "Katara" (Project Crystal).

Pacific also known as hull 13658, has been out on sea trials already since launching...
