Danish Yachts presents the 'AeroCruiser 38F III" yacht
Danish Yachts have now completed the AeroCruiser 38 II also known as Project 116 and christened as "Shooting Star". She is now in the Mediterranean. However, Danish Yachts have another vessel in the AeroCruiser 'line' in the works.
The Danish Yachts AeroCruiser 38F III is the next AeroCruiser in line. The notation of 'F' suggests Flybridge on this particular unit. The yacht's hull shape more-or-less retains a similar shape to the rest of the AeroCruiser family however, the cabin/superstructure is somewhat different.
She now totes a squared and angular shape for the upper structure which is radically different to the "Moon Goddess" and the Shooting Star. Ample glass is to be used in the construction which will allow superb views to the outside. The design also opens up, not just with sliding doors on the aft of the cabin but to the front and also the sides...

The 52-meter mega yacht, was developed from the CRN naval architectural solutions, in collaboration with Studio Zuccon International Project and meets the ship owners’ greater need to be flexible. This new layout allows one to have closer contact with the sea, thanks to the outdoor “beach club” at the stern and on the terrace of the owner’s suite. The boat easily accommodates up to 12 passengers in five guest cabins (a master cabin and four guest cabins) and 12 crew members...

Citadel Yachts is pleased to announce the launch of their latest build, a 102-foot expedition yacht named Polar Bear, for an experienced U.S. yachtsman. This robustly constructed long range vessel features an efficient, steel displacement hull with a bulbous bow, active quad-fin stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters and fully protected propellers and rudders. Powered by twin 685-hp Caterpillar C-18B diesel engines, she has a range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles. Her massive 28-foot beam offers over 3,000 square feet of interior living space, with the engine room and lazarette providing an additional 720 square feet. "Prima" is the final name given to the 54-meter mega yacht that was under construction at the Palumbo shipyard for Columbus Yachts. Otherwise known as the Columbus 177, Prima is out in the open now on the verge of launching to the water in the next few days.
The displacement yacht was built with a steel hull and light alloy superstructure. Her overall beam is a spacious 10.20-meters aiding in the total feeling of expanse through out the yacht. The interior was fashioned by Studio Spadolini while the exterior design styling was the work of Hydro Tec. They also worked with the Naval Architecture.

Heesen launches 3700 "Aurelia" megayacht
Dutch yacht manufacturer Heesen successfully launched another yacht recently. A few days ago, the latest member of the Heesen 3700 series hit the Dutch waters. From the first glance it is apparent that this new yacht isn't the average 3700, at least from the painting scheme.
Given the name "Aurelia", the latest hull of the 3700 series was initially known as Project 'Petra' under construction. She is also the tenth Heesen 3700 to be launched and even more interestingly she was launched on the tenth of June. Is it even more coincidental that she has the number 'ten' painted on her racing-car livery?
Dual MTU 16V 4000 M90 engines races her to top end speed of 30-knots. Just like her speed -racy- her staterooms are race car inspired to match with the external livery that is of a Racing Car origin. Even the main 14-foot tender is finished in similar paint scheme as the Aurelia...

Westport completes 40-meter "Gene Machine" megayacht
The latest member of the Wesport 130 series has been completed by the American yacht builder. She is the fifth 130-foot hull in the newly re-designed and restyled original 130 series. If you were to include all of the 130hulls, this latest one would represent the thirty-third.
She was launched at the very end of last year (2010) and completed earlier this year. Hull 4005 has been christened as "Gene Machine" following, "Namaste" (4004), "Mustang Sally" (4003), "Aphrodite" (4002) and the first hull, "Miss Michelle".
Gene Machine has been manufactured in composite materials like her sisters. The design is by Taylor Olson, William Garden on the naval architecture while the interior was in-house by Westport. She is powered by twin MTUs with a top speed of 24 knots. On the inside, a maximum of ten guests can be slept in four double cabins and a master...
Tankoa Yacht 69-meter superyacht update
A big change has come to one of the superyachts currently under construction at Tankoa Yachts in Italy. Hull C.102 is the 65-meter that is in build and originally had a launching date for September 2011. However, the said yacht is being extended significantly.
She is expected to go from 65-meters to 69-meters in order to house an expansive beach club in the aft part of the hull. Additionally, a large area of specially designed glass to MCA code will be built to draw natural light into the beach club and provide views outward.
The design of the Tankoa 69-meter remains by Francesco Paszkowski. The accommodation for the guests will be slightly in non-traditional areas with the five double guest staterooms being situated on the main deck and not the lower deck. The sixth stateroom belongs to the owner and that is going to be located on the upper deck.
She is dual classed, RINA/Lloyd's (MCA LYC2)...
Lurssen launches 62-meter "Lady Kathryn V" superyacht
The latest in a line of 60-meter superyachts has been launched by German superyacht builder Lurssen. She is the 62-meter successor, the "Lady Kathryn V" built for an experienced owner. In build she was known as Project "Coco" with project management by ***** Ship & Yacht.
She was constructed in steel and aluminum, standing out at just over 200-feet long. Not surprising her naval architecture is in-house by Lurssen. The design comes by Espen Oenio and interior styling and design by Adam Lay Studios.
Lady Kathryn V is the final name given to the same yacht that might have been known at Project Coco or project 061. Essentially she is a slightly larger near sister to past 60-meter Lurssen builds like the "Linda Lou", "Arkley" and "Solemates II". Up to twelve guests may be slept onboard in her six beautifully done staterooms...
