Trinity Yachts present 50-meter 'Evolution' Explorer
American yacht manufacturer Trinity Yachts has unveiled a new design for a 50-meter Explorer-type luxury yacht. This 164' explorer style yacht has the feel of a much larger yacht, but is under 500 g.t. Among the distinctive features of this explorer is an optional full deck owner's suite and spacious aft recreation deck, which also serves as a heli-pad.
The concept and original design for the yacht are by Frederick Hohenadel with William Coxon III. Among the most desirable features of this latest concept from Trinity Yachts is the large aft sun deck that doubles as a touch and go heli-pad. The swim deck has a retractable extension, yielding an excellent staging area for diving, skiing and other water sports. The wide aft staircase provides bleacher like seating for spectators...
Franco Gianni SC154 PowerCat
Another new design surfaces from within the deep superyacht design pool, this time from Studio Franco Gianni. Their proposal is for a 47-meter powered catamaran design that is just about as sleek as they come. The boat has some special features that are sure to keep you interested.
Starting with the way the yacht's tenders could be launched or recovered. The SC154 will be able to launch her tenders the conventional way, that is, outboard from the hull. However, what happens if the sea state is not ideal for launching? The solution is to launch them inboard, that is, between the hulls and taking full advantage of the sheltered area created by the multihull platform.
Another nice feature is the yacht's pool. She boasts a near 3-meter square pool perched centrally on the very back of the boat. That's a well-suited place to take a dip while enjoying the view of an exotic shoreline nearby...

Entertainment, silent running and spacious surroundings are part of the design brief for the new concept. Upon viewing the vessel's plans, it is evident access near the water was a crucial point. It is more apparent with the number of fold-down balconies.
For example, the gym of the yacht feaures, not one but two balconies that jettison from the hull on command giving a truly full beam open-aired affair. From gym to beach-club kind of sensation...

Cantiere delle March 115' 'Nauta Air' cruiser
Cantiere delle March and Nauta Yachts have collaborated to produce the new 'Nauta Air' 115 cruiser. She is a displacement megayacht combining smooth design with a rugged and appealing look. Classiness oozes from the design from stem to stern as lines are both hard and soft in this contemporary design.
Some quick points about the concept suggest that she will be accommodating approximately ten guests in a Master Stateroom and four ensuite dedicated guest rooms. The conceptualization for this project was basically to showcase the ease in which the outdoors can blend with indoors.
The interaction of guests onboard with the outside nature and surroundings the yacht is in should always occur. Numerous external areas are on hand to relax on and are bordered by glass bulwarks, enhancing the view. Even from inside, a view to the outside isn't far away, thanks to the extensive windows onboard...

It has been a while since we heard any launches from Russian yard Timmerman, however, a recently completed 26.40-meter yacht makes the news. She was christened "Atlantic" and represents the second hull in this series.

Marin 50-meter superyacht
This contemporary all-white steel and aluminum superyacht is the latest sub-55-meter project from Marin Yachts at Factoría Naval de Marín in Spain. She is a 50-meter sleek and balanced design that is pleasing to the eye.
If you reflect, you will recall some of other designs that have become reality from this yard. Most notably the 45-meter "Follow Me V" in 2011. Of course they completed a few other yachts as well such as the "Germania Nova" also in 2011. She is a beautiful schooner-rigged vessel. Additionally, there is the well-known "Elena", she is also schooner rigged, built a few years ago in 2009.
Back to the Marin 50-meter, and looking at her you realize the resemblance to Follow Me V. That may not exactly be a coincidence seeing that Marin Yachts was the Naval Architect for FMV...
52-meter powercat "Eva" by Misha Merzliakov
A twin cabin for children, a double cabin for children, a Master Stateroom and three guest cabins. Sounds normal enough on a yacht? The stability of the yacht hosting this accommodation is further enhanced because it is not a monohull. We are talking about the 52-meter powercat called "Eva", designed by Misha Merzliakov.
There have been many power catamaran designs in the past but this particular design pushes the boundaries a little more. The design in itself is very aggressive by virtue of the angular surfaces on the exterior. Some special features onboard Eva include a pool on the aft end overlooking the stern, a tender bay for a 7-meter tender and an amazing Audi Q7 vehicle that can be loaded or offloaded via a ramp that extends downwards from between the hulls.
Additionally... on the inside there is a 'pit' or playpen in the saloon that may be ideal for children...
Pershing unveils new 82 model
A retake on the Pershing 80' model, the new 82' model shines. The first hull is expected to be launched in the Spring of 2012. Interesting to note about the 82-foot hull is the layout of the lower deck especially as it relates to the master stateroom.
The Master is oriented across the beam of the yacht. The large bed is set from the port side and runs towards the centerline, while the ensuite bathroom sits on the other side. Other cabins for guests include a VIP located in the bow and two twin bed cabins nestled port and starboard between the master and VIP.
This 82-foot bullet can shoot across the water at an incredible 45-knots and cruise at 40-knots with no problem. Below decks are a pair of MTU 16V M93's that allow these high-performance speeds. Even though she is a sub-100' yacht there is plenty of room on the external decks...
