    The new Abeking & Rasmussen hull 6479 is on sea trials today reportedly. The name might be "C2".

    The new 56-meter Perini Navi "Riela" is on sea trials.

    She achieved 56.4 knots on her shakedown cruise. I would not be surprised if she is at 60 knots or better by now... Incredible speed for a 124' yacht not turbine powered. Light as a feather and 2.2g's over Germanischer Lloyd's load benchmark.

    Truly a milestone build.

    Fuel Capacity:- 2000 litres

    Superb Carl! She is a lovely boat...especially proportion wise she is alot sleeker and balanced with the added length compared to the "Polar Star" (ex. "Northern Star"). I saw some very nice pics of her on the Kiel returning from her sea trials just a few minutes ago.

    Super of Giga yacht (which ever you prefer) "Eclipse" left Blohm and Voss to conduct her battery of sea trials!

    I'm baffled by the lack of.........

    really zoomy streamlining on this yacht, along the lines of the Palmer Johnson 120-150-210' series of yachts currently being built. Of course, "the customer's always right" still applies, but I have to wonder if M&W even tried to sell something more streamlined, or not. I hate to say it, but IMO she looks more than a little bit frumpy. JMPO
