    Yes according to SYT.

And I believe she has also changed colors from green to blue which I like a whole lot better.

Newbuild yacht hull which arrived in Gibraltar on the 27th September under tow by the tug Brucoli. According to the Gibraltar Port Movements, she is listed as C19 and coming from La Spezia and is heading to Harlingen although the movements page lists the hull as 'arrested'.

Harlingen is in Northern Netherlands right? Icon Yachts is in Harlingen. Could it be headed to them?

    Amels is in Vlissingen...
Highly doubt its Feadship (not and being towed through Gibraltar)

    Who is she going to?!

Thats what the port movements said although its has now been changed to Destination: Orders.

I was discussing the hull with a firend who suggested that she might be from Cantieri San Marco in La Spezia. He reckons this could be Yd No MYT003 (IMO 1010492) - 2100gt 75m yacht ordered in 2007

    Cantieri San Marco

    Hi,

Good detective work there Daniel, the fact that it was ordered in 2007 and still looks like it does should be some clue as to the debacle that the build of this and another one that is still there has turned into.

Someone told me recently where it was heading and I don't think it was ICON.

I will ask around and find out which of the two it is and where it is headed.

Skat is inside the Icon shed at the moment (Judging by her AIS signal).
I think they have room for such a large project, as I'm not sure if they have anything under construction, apart from the refit jobs.

Does anyone know the designers of this Italian yacht?

Looking at the date on which she arrived in Gibraltar, she could be in Holland (If she's heading to a Dutch yard) next week?
Interesting project, seems like someone has bought the casco, and then contracted a yard to do the rest of the work?

According to AIS she/they left Gibraltar yesterday evening, destination Tuzla, eta: 23rd of October 2012 08.00 hrs.

Destination does not seem logical to me, but perhaps a different tug is used to bring the yacht to Northern Europe?

Davidwb the tug Brucoli which originally brought the hull left on Friday evening with another tow. The hull is still here in Gibraltar.

Thank you! Hope she goes to Icon, will be quite a large project to complete with all the technical stuff and interior etc.
Some Dutch yards get their hulls/superstructures from Poland, this one's from Italy :D

    Hi,

I spoke to the guy who has some knowledge of this project this afternoon and he confirms it is headed to the ICON yard in Harlingen.

He said the reason the Tug that brought her to Gib went away is that it was ok for the tow in the Med but it is not classed to tow it up to Nthn Europe at this time of year.

Great photos! Seems like a nice design, could become a very interesting yacht if finished properly I think.
