    What Cameras Do You Use?

Hi Daniel, What kind of cameras and lenses do you and your Dad use to take your wonderful shots?

Depends on how close you are, the shots of the Katya were taken from our own pleasure craft whilst the Northern Star were taken from my dads home. His window overlooks part of the port area including the entrance. Everything is close by in Gibraltar so photography is easy. From a public park found near to my dads home you can take pics of yachts coming past as close as 500m.

Hi Daniel, Thanks for the info. What brand and model camera do and your Dad use and what kind of lense and length lense? Do you use a tripod for any of the shots from land or is everything hand held? You both have a great talent for framing your shots!

We both use Canon DSLRs with lenses ranging from 18mm to 250mm. Although most we can frame well becuase they come so close, others we need to crop just a little off the sides.

We dont, we usually take them hand held or if I can find a ledge I will support my elbows on it. Those taken by my dad from his window he can just rest it on the window ledge or the side of the window.

I would have much rather seen "Satori's" bridge windows blacked out. To me the frames stick out like a sore on a thumb.

Yet more great image Daniel. Perhaps we should start a part 2 for this thread as we are over 900 posts on it now?

I look forward to seeing what else goes through your area.

Do you still have any higher res images of Sunrays?

    Hi,

Have you got any in the last day or so? I got a message from a mate of mine who was in Gib on a boat and he said Air, Ice (the first Air) and Fountainhead were all there.
