Not the one I was thinking of, what is the story behind Cedar Sea II?
Are you thinking of Red Baron?
Ok I guess this happens more then I thought, I am assuming both of you are correct but I was thinking of the Palmer Johnson Unity painted Ford Blue for the Ford family.
Ken or Castlerock go for it.
I like this thread so will try to keep it going... So
Which yacht changed its name and also lost it's square foresa'l and became quicker TransAt?
Is it... "Effort"
Nope, the yacht I'm thinking of had a fin keel fitted at the same refit as the rig was changed.
there goes my guess: Evergreen. Doesn't have a fin keel nor a rig.
Second guess: Alfa Romeo?
No,this one has three masts
No, another hint she was built in Spain
Adix? I think she was also called XXXX at one time
Thank Heavens for that.
She was built as Jessica then to XXXX now Adix.
Well done, your go:-
I defer my go to anyone who wants to go next... sitting in an airport right now, no time for coming up with a good stumper
Go on, anyone else got a doozzie? Beat the panel.
Continuing on the previous Golden Era Yachts of Detroit, here is a great historical and slideshow of the Stellaris - ex.Delphine - ex.Caroline
Hey, I found an old dusty but very interesting thread and I thought I would refresh it again...
Lets start with an easy one, the name of the 60m A&R "Elandess" stands for what?
Abeking & Rasmussen would be my guess.
Juliane Elander Rasmussen was a Danish rower at the Olympics last week. Any connection?
Mhm no... I meant what "Elandess" stands for, it is the owners Initials "L and S". However you see I am not that creative in creating questions, so feel free to start a new round.
DOH!! Not good at crosswords myself.
