    To give all spotters a change to compete, I ask you not to answer directly onto the forum, but to send your answers by mail to me at ;

    gomaarten@yahoo.com

I will publish the answers tomorrow, and tell you who scored the highest! (..Maybe Yachtforums.com can even throw in a little award :p ;)

    Have fun !!!

    Hi gomaarten,

really nice idea. Some are easy, some are very tricky. I want to thank you for the effort you put into this quiz! Very neat. I am already waiting for the answers to these questions!

    Good Morning Maarten,

Nice work, compiling all these abstract images as teasers! I'd like to make a suggestion...

Many of our members only check in once a week or so, so putting a time limit on the quiz leaves a lot of people without a chance to participate.

Also, you will find more people will respond if they can name an image individually, as opposed to needing to name them all (I've learned this from previous tests).

It might be best to let people respond to the thread with the answer to #3 or #9, etc. It works out to be more fun and it encourages participation.

But... it's your test, so you make the rules! ;)

I'm bugging on one picture, and I haven't time to search for the moment. So please, NO reply for the moment! Thank you! :)

18h20 (UTC+1) : finally I find the picture. Hope that I will have a good score... Does anybody find every yachts? (I know, I am like a child, but I love this game!) ;)

    Well done ************, a perfect 20/20 score!!

I'll keep the answers to myself for now, as I'm getting lots of entrees in my mailbox :) Seems this is a popular game :D

Picture number 1 seems the hardest to find  .... e-mail me for a clue!!

    Congrats Raphael. :)

Couple of things guys... we MUST keep images to no wider than 540 pixels.

    Reasons...

    1. Viewers utilizing 17" monitors will have to scroll sideways.
    2. Viewers using 800 x 600 resolution will have to scroll sideways.
    3. Users on Dial-up will have to wait excessively for larger images to load.

Please, keep the images to 540 pixels, no larger. I've already edited the images that Maarten uploaded. (nice job Maarten!)

And last... our main frame is being shut down tonight while we move our offices. I'm switching the site to a remote server on the west coast during the interim, so there may be a few minutes (hopefully not hours) that you will recieve a database error when accessing the site.

This should be seamless... but nothing ever goes according to plan.

I'm preparing another quiz. I will post it Sunday night. So, rendez-vous to all the spotters! You will have the Monday to answer me. And the results for Tuesday, European time (UTC+1).

Uh... don't forget to post answers to this quiz before starting the next? :)

I'll be checking in Sunday night to see more pics, but I'll be gone to FL on Monday morning. Hmm... maybe a quiz yacht will be in FL while I'm there...? I'll check. :) :D

Don't forget a pen and a paper. If you agree, could you send me a list of yachts that you will cross (with date and name of the port)? I thank you very much!
