French made race boats are pretty lightly built.

No updates Ralph but the Coast Guard is still investigating. The power boat is a 37' charter fishing vessel owned by Chesapeake Bay Charter. I have a funny feeling everyone on the power boat were watching trolling lines and looking at over the stern not realizing they were on a collision course with the sailboat which was under sail at the time of the accident.

I don't think that boat could crawl all the way up onto the sailboat at trolling speed.......
I heard 2 rumors on the Eastern Shore over the past couple days.
    1. is the power boat was only a few days old
    2. Was the sail boat might have tacked unexpectedly into the powerboats path.

    Rumors, not facts.

This was not a trolling speed accident. And even if the sailboat had tacked, the fishing boat was passing too close if he couldn’t avoid them.

Wouldn't want to be the Capt. running this Bayou Barge in tight situations. 2,000 HP OB's on hydraulic jack plates.
