Has anyone heard of a throttle issue with these engines? An acquaintance with new, newly installed engines told me he was approaching a pier at slow speed when the throttles suddenly failed to control engine speed, and the engines could not be put in neutral.
Hi, This is fairly typical of an EVC Glitch that was causing problems to a few boats a while ago. Volvo replaced a lot of electronics before things settled down.
The D3-220hp is the new generation of the D3 and yes, same old glitches are here. Volvo have added a new twist to the mix by putting the HCU as part of the throttle shifts.
