Azimut is preparing to launch the third Azimut Grande 120SL motoryacht​

Italian manufacturer Azimut is in the final stages before they launch the third hull in the Azimut Grande 120SL series. The new yacht is expected to launch in April, 2014 and will showcase exterior design by Stefano Righini and interior design work by Carlo Galeazzi. Paolo Vitelli, chairman of the Azimut Benetti Group commented: “Azimut Grande represents a tangible response to the needs expressed by our boat owners: it is an appealing and distinctive line that doesn't cut corners in terms of comfort and flawless performance. Rigorous trials and tank testing have helped develop a high performance keel that can cruise with ease, even in rough seas. Adopting water jet transmissions has significantly limited vibrations and noise, maximising on board comfort for the boat owner and guests”.

Azimut yachts are generally performance vessels and you can expect a thrilling ride and top speed. The Grande 120SL tops out at just under 40-knots, impressive for a 120-foot yacht. The GRP-made planing yacht has a beam of 7.90-meters and a slim draft of 1.50-meters. Power comes from three MTU 10V 2000 M93 engines that are coupled to Rolls-Royce water jets and a central booster.
