    Unless you have no assets you are taking a huge risk by not having at least liability insurance. As far as maneuverability, you will learn it pretty quickly. As mentioned, spinning big wheels means that when you put it in gear your boat is going to jump forward or backward. When docking t's not hard to smash a piling or dock. A bow thruster is not going to help with that. Add the .5 to 1 second delay in most controls it can take some getting used to. I am often in and out of gear with the controls before the prop actually spins.
