Does anyone know of a taxidermist in the new york/new jersey area that will mount fish using the real skin. There probably are some out there, but would imagine it would cost a fortune. All my mounts are fiberglass, except for 1 mahi mahi, that I caught some 35 years ago?

All of the Taxidermists here got away from using the real fish or fish' skin at least ten years ago. Supposedly a fiberglass mount is more durable and lasting in different environments. I think it may be hard to find any Taxidermist that will still do a skin mount.

I fear taxidermy is a lost art with the advent of fiberglass mounts which pretty much last forever.
