Sunseeker Announce a Successful Audit to the ABYC Standards

    12/11/2004

Following an extensive audit inspection at Sunseeker International, Mr Jack Molleur from the International Marine Consulting Associates Inc, has completed a full audit to the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) standards on the privately-owned motoryacht manufacturers. All of the Sunseeker craft audited have met the stringent standards of the ABYC.

The ABYC is the organisation which sets the standard for pleasure boats in the United States. The standards set by the ABYC are very comprehensive and detailed covering all aspects and disciplines for the build and construction of pleasure boats. The audit at Sunseeker International was undertaken during November 2004 by Jack Molleur and involved inspecting boats against an 85 page checklist of the standards set by the ABYC.

Commenting on the company’s approach to boatbuilding, Jack Molleur said: ‘the Sunseeker team are dedicated and focused, building a range of performance motoryachts to a very high quality standard. Sunseeker International is forward thinking and prepared to implement the latest technology regarding all systems and structures of their products. The company leadership instills a sense of excitement and loyalty that is very evident whilst working and conversing with both staff and employees.”

On behalf of Sunseeker International, Robert Braithwaite MBE commented: ‘Through investment, we constantly strive to improve the quality of our product and every area of production to meet the demands of our customers. It is therefore extremely gratifying to be acknowledged for achieving the highest standards set in the United States, which is a very important marketplace for the company.’

A global leader in the design and build of luxury motoryachts, Sunseeker International exports 99% of its product range and employs over 1,400 highly trained staff in their shipyards on Britain’s South Coast.
