Stowaways on the rudder..

    3 migrants hitched a ride on the rudder from Lagos, Nigeria to Las Palmas in the Canary Islands:
    11 days on the rudder with no food or drinks.
    Dedication or rather desperation..:(
    2 are being sent back on the same ship and the third one are still in the hospital.

    There is no way they could have survived without water for that long. I guess the ship was not loaded during the trip? Otherwise that rudder would have been submerged.

    How desperate one has to be to even consider such a trip... And in the end for what? Being send back with the same ship?
