Hi Mike, I don't have anything in stock. We build everything as custom commissions, so we can make whatever you want. Have you searched our website? I am working on a set of frp molds for a 1"=1' scale 34' CHB trawler if anyone is interested. I plan to make an RC version!
Thanks for the comments! This one was for a local BC company Westbay Sonship... This 1/2" scale model of their 72' yacht measures 36" long and has a decent amount of detail including laser cut and engraved decking, chromed railings and details, black acrylic glass, mirrored base, and some deck furniture...all custom/hand made. We just saw the 4 year old model at this past Vancouver boat show
On the big biminI'm back here with a 1:60 scale model of the 198' Feadship "Blue Moon". This 40" waterline model was built for the owner liaising through the captain. There is a lot of detailing on this one...a few different styles of deck chairs, loungers & tables, chromed door frames, railings, deck supports, bollards, capstans, anchor handling equip., spotlight, horns, gloss wood counter & table tops and cabinets etc. If you look closely, there are even port & starboard tenders on bridge deck behind coaming...a wooden Riva & Chris Craft! Cabinsides are sprayed a metallic silver and the hot tub up top and the water level surface have a rippled finish for a neat effect. There are also the owners crest P&S on the big flybridge roof stanchions. All glass is black back-sprayed acrylic.
OK, spring break is over...back at it! Here's a 1/2"=1' scale model of a Riviera 5000. The Canadian client wanted to have aft door & window and retractable top open, so the interior was modelled too. They also wanted the garage open to show the tender. A lot of detail on this one like laser cut & engraved decking, deck chairs, transom gates, portlight trim and Riviera logos. The model features faux painted wood interior, aft deck table, "speckle painted" granite counter tops, and twin Zeus pod drives.
Here's a fairly big model of a 200' Burger Boat Co. concept (I see from their website that it's grown by a few feet to 214' now). This model measures 50" long and is loaded with details either laser cut or hand made. This is a whole hull model with a "waterline" ... a shallow upside down acrylic box with rippled surface with a hull waterline "hole" for the model to sit inside...in the first photo, you can see the stabilizer fins. The cabana/garage also has led lights!
OK, so it's been a while. Piggybacking on a subject in this years' FLIBS...big, multi outboard powered, walkaround sportfishers. Here are a pair from our shop for Ocean Alexander (again) that were sent down to the show... They are calling them 45' Divergence. These are two versions of same boat with different options...
Nice work Brian! I met another model builder at 2018 FLIBS, who also happens to be a member of YF; Gary Isaksen. Love the fold out bulwarks and retractable awning, but I don't see the CC crowd buying an OA? SO many CC builders to choose from, many with legions of followers.
Ah yes another PNwester, Gary and I have spoken a few times over the years, did he have any models down there? Thanks for the FLIBS coverage, I'd like to make it down some year. What are CC's?
Center Consoles Isaksen had at least one model at the Crescent display, a new build that I mistook for a Greg Marshal design. It was actually the work of Bill Prince, whom I had a drink with after the show.
Here's yet another from our shop...the 182' Feadship "Cynthia". This one is 1:60 scale, so around 36" long and like always completely custom built following the drawing info. Now at owners in Boston.
Brian, Appreciate your works of art! I reduced the size of your images to 800 pixels to fit our format. Your pics were 2200 pixels. I also labeled the images so they are better indexed. Nice work!
Ah, thanks. I was trying to figure out how to fix that. This looks like the Brian Klassen Models thread
