This thread may be out of place, but I'm guessing that someone on here knows how to make this braid. We took the boat down to Costa Rica last month and a deckhand down there showed us how to do this. It's done with a single rope and is wrapped around something and then done. I'm not sure exactly how, but hopefully the picture will help!
