    Hi Folks,
My 2009 Princess 50 Volvo D 11 A1A needs engine mounts replacement for one of the engines. The engine room is very tight and I want to make sure I get a high quality job done, hopefully at a reasonable price. Let me know if you have any recommendations. I will buy the original Volvo engine mounts in next couple of days.
    Thanks,
    Nick

Try Luis at Mesa Marine. I ve been using him for 20 years for thruhulls, mounts, alignments, shafts, etc. On my personal boat and the boats I run full time including the 110. Old fashioned guy who carries calipers on his back pocket. He also repowered my 53 hatt incl fabricating new engine beds. I ll DM you his phone nr.

If you don't mind my curiosity, why do those mounts need to be replaced?
Surely it isn't because of age, and if it were due to extremely high hours clocked (which is unlikely anyhow, in that type of boat), both engines would be involved...
    Defective parts, maybe?

Good question Mapism. I am getting vibrations at higher RPM. I am getting it rechecked tomorrow with Luis. We will see if it’s another reason like shaft alignment or something else. It’s only around 2000 hours. I’ll report what we find out.
