:D.......you mean "Tawila", that's the name of the island. It means "long" in Arabic. The island is named that way because it's the longest island in the area.

The best months for boating in the Red Sea are October, November and December as well as March. These are the months with very little wind and comfortable temperatures.
Here is another picture of the same trip during this month of November. Everyone is in bathing suits and swimming, even the kids.
Are you interested in exploring our Red Sea waters with "Nilo"........that would be great, I will meet up with you with "Nazly" if you wish and show you around. Some parts of the coastline including various marinas as well as the deserted islands are very interesting.

Sorry to hear that Graham. I know, you have been facing bad weather in Spain for some time now. I have a few friends with boats in Spain and they are all suffering from the same bad weather. I wish you best of luck and stay safe.
Btw., many Europeans now bring their boats during the winter months to our marinas.......it's much cheaper and safer and the boats can ofcourse be used during winter in the Red Sea. We have quite a few yachts in our marinas belonging to Europeans who bring them over during September and October, just after summer and then take them back to the Med. just before the summer starts, in May or June.

    Very nice Lars!

We're not even close to that yet.... just a few flurries last weekend with no significant accumulation.

(Apologies to TK for hijacking this thread. LOL Perhaps we ought to migrate to the "Winter, Wheels" thread....)

    Red Sea treasures

Looks delicious and appetizing. It has been a very long time since we had lobster from the boat in the Med.:)
