Odd DirectTV or Intelian issue

    got a weird glitch on our 6 months old intelian system earlier today while at the dock

    For about an hour, the dish would loose signal every 1 minute 35 seconds. Dish would start looking taking anywhere between 10 and 30” to acquire.

    Then after 1’ 35” it would loose signal again. As soon as it would loose signal I could hear the dish humming

    No rain no obstruction.
    The precise timing is what got me wondering.. 1 minute 35 seconds. And after about an hour it went away

    Thoughts?

    When I read this last night, I wondered if you where in proximity to a fireworks show for that hour ?

    Just that one night?

    Software updates were coming in and the controller rebooted.
    How long does a cold reboot take?

    Been fine since. What was odd was the timing. Exactly 1 minute 35 between signal acquisition and loss. Lasted a couple of hours.

    Guessing out loud, you were having a problem getting an update. Untill you time a cold boot, that's my idea.

    I did turn off the system a couple of time

    It s happening again tonight, about an hour and half and going. Really weird. I ve timed it a few times. Exactly 1 minute 35 after acquiring, the signal is lost. The dish hums while acquiring which can take anywhere between 8” to a full minute. Then 1:35 after signal comes back... it goes away.

    Will call intelian tomorrow
