    I thought I would start a new thread for her while the keel laying ceremony occured last wednesday 8th May.
    Can not wait until this gorgeous project is completed! :)

    I've seen the 85 meter (279 ft) Vitters/Oceanco sailing yacht being referred to as Y711, so what is Y712? Project Solar or the 110 meter (361 ft) motoryacht?

    (Keel laying probably occurred at Zwijnenburg hull builder?)

    Length of "Solar" seems flexible: ***** first stated 108 meters...Nuvolari/Lenard later said 106 meters....and now they say she is 107 meters....it's probably one of those "retractable bow-type" yachts ;)

    We shall just wait and see because if we are seeing three different lengths then you cannot be 100% sure.

    I im currently working on the steel hull of the Y712 at the shipyard in krimpen a/d ijssel. it's a very nice project to work on and i am looking forward to the result when it is finished!

    Looks like they have chosen the Maltese Falcon sail system (cann't remember the term). Are there any other SY's with it, other than these 2?
