Interesting development if factual. Wright Maritime Group of Fort Lauderdale put the build package together and negotiated the price for the owner and then supervised the build process, so I don't believe that there was a traditional brokerage house involved.

I confirmed this situation with a reliable source in Florida that there is a legal case between the yard and the broker over brokerage fees.
Merle Woods and the yard are spatting about the fee. SS (the owner) is not a part of the suit and I can't seem to think this suit would delay or prohibit delivery as he is not involved. Having said that it took way too long to deliver this boat, so could be true the suit is the hold up.

It doesn't surprise me that M.W. is chasing a commission since he was involved with the purchase and sale of the original 86 meter Seven Seas and was supplanted by Wright for the new build. It wouldn't be the first time M.W. has swung for the fences seeking compensation not deserved but rather perceived due to a prior relationship with an owner or yard.
