Does anyone have any idea on the timeline and rough estimate of cost for a new Northern Marine 64 Long Distance Trawler? Just wondering how it compares to a new Nordhavn 63 in time to build and cost. If anyone can give me this information I would greatly appreciate it!

The better question might be is Northern Marine still building boats?

At least for now Northern is dead, there is occasionally one or two cars at the office. If you want a Northern LRC there are a couple of 57' and a new 64' for sale here in Anacortes. I have not been on the 64 but I understand it is a nice boat. The 57's are big boats and are in very nice shape also. You could get into one quickly and even making cosmetic changes to suit your tastes be cruising this summer. By the way I am not a broker, but did want to make sure that you are aware of these.

I'm getting an "Invalid Thread" message also. Perhaps that's the thread that was deleted a few weeks ago and left a ghost on Admin computers.

That is the exact route I used to find invalid thread. Not sure why us common folk can't see it. :)

Could this have happened with the upgrade? Which, is great by the way. This is the fastest site I visit.

Kidworks asked how much and how long to build.

As a reference, the 1999 brochure called for a base price of $1.65M, with vague recollections of conversations (at that time) with Bud Lemieux (the builder) and the owner of the No. 2 blue-hulled boat putting the actual price over $2M, and a 2-year build.

    Extrapolate at will.

Ask for Andy or Bud. Bud is pretty sure he is going back to the name "Northern Marine," as he was the Founder and has repurchased the name and assets.
( not sure what happened to the other link  )

As far as a time line, they have two 80 foot hulls. They have done drawings for me on completing one of them. (it is on my wall of my office, for me to look at and dream) The time frame would be 18 to 24 months to complete.
  19. This thread reminded me of a picture I took of a Northern Marine trawler not long ago while it was here at the shipyard for some paintwork.
