No reduction gear 410 HP ?

    Looked at a 52 ft Yacht with a buyer friend , twin 410hp 671TI straight 6's with capitol gear 0ne to one drives through walter V drives. We know that the gears are a service and parts issue but cannot understand the no reduction , 2" shafts, 28x27 4 blade wheels.

    I believe the reduction is in the V drive.

    Yep, reduction in the V drive. Older or newer Walter case?
    IMO, don't be to scared of the Capital clutches. Search the many YF threads on this topic.
    One the other hand, could be a haggling point over price.
