Italian brand Wider Yachts has launched their newest yacht that now represents their flagship. The first Wider 165 has left the build shed and is now being prepared for splashing. The yacht was built under Project name 'Cecilia' and is now their second large build after the completion of the Wider 150 'Genesi' -now known as "Bartali".

Fulvio di Simoni's work is seen on the exterior while the interior is more than likely the work of the yard. This yacht is presently still for sale asking 30 million Euros. Should anyone pick her up now, she will be ready for delivery this Summer, that's an added bonus. Like her slightly smaller sister she has a beach club that can be transformed when the main tender is launched. The storage area for the tender then turns into a pool and with terraces on either side make the space a very useful guest area. There is a touch-and-go helipad on the bow as an added convenience. Guest accommodation is for twelve guests in five cabins Two twins with pullman berths, two VIPs and a master suite are for guests and potential owner. Up to eleven crew can be housed onboard too.

This yacht is run by a diesel-electric setup where 531kW electric motors are employed. Top speed is expected to be 14-knots but she will have great range at slower speeds. For example, at a continuous 10-knots her range is extended to approximately 5,400 nautical miles. If you are in environmentally sensitive areas or just do not want to hear the running of the yacht at all, fully silent running at a slow 5-knot trod can be provided by energy stored in her 544kWh battery bank.
