  1. New Westport 35-meter Restarts After Covid Restrictions
Westport Yachts started construction on a 35-meter yacht from their Westport 117 line in early 2020 but was promptly halted as the Covid 19 pandemic took hold across the United States especially in Washington. The yacht would have been completed this year if construction was not interrupted but now that some restrictions are being eased in that state work has recommenced on the build. The revised timeline for delivery of the new W117 is 2022.
  2. The W117 is upgraded styling on a platform that may appear familiar to eagle-eyed enthusiasts. The Westport 112 might come to mind and even that model has received its own style updates in the last few years. Even though the W117 might have taken a few cues from its slightly smaller model-mate, it does have its own individualism. The design inside and out is in-house by the yard. The W117 yacht is slightly wider than the W112 since it is longer, compare a 7.7-meter beam on the W117 vs the 7.2-meters on the W112.
  3. Expect to see a four cabin layout onboard this vessel, enough to sleep up to ten (10) guests. There is a master suite, VIP, queen berth double and then a twin cabin that likely has the pullman setup. Power is by CAT C32 ACERT engines which will permit the W117 a 24-knot top end and fast cruise at 20-knots. This is almost on par with what the W112 usually attains. Construction is in GRP materials throughout to ABS Class.
