  1. 64-meter Superyacht "Atomic" Launches At VSY
The third hull in the original set of three 62-meter near-identical superyachts from the VSY yard has finally been launched. She has since grown to 63.80-meters and has an owner now and bears the name "Atomic" on her sides and stern. As a reminder this series started off with a 62-meter yacht called "Candyscape II" (now called "Sealyon"), then "RoMa" launched. The yard's third yacht technically was launched as "Stella Maris" but she isn't quite the same in design. The 63.80-meter Atomic is directly related to the first two hulls in design.
  2. The design of this yacht is Espen Oeino like her sisters. The interior of the vessel is by Darnet Design. The interior arrangement calls for guest accommodation to be in six cabins. Twelve guests (inclusive of the owner) will be slept comfortably onboard. The owner's cabin is forward on the upper section of the main deck almost in a split-deck position. It offers panoramic views of about 270 degrees and complements that by having side balconies for the owner to utilize in private. Crew walk along the roof of the suite and then down a ladder on the front centerline to access the forecastle from the on deck position. The other cabins are on the lower deck and forward main deck.
  3. Some amenities onboard include a pool on the aft sundeck, a firepit on the forward sun deck. Two Castoldi jet tenders, one 23-feet and the other 21-feet for guest use. A massage/therapy area, Construction is with steel for the hull and aluminium for the superstructure. Power is provided by a pair of CAT 3516B marine diesels that can run her up to 17-knots but she can be dialed back to run efficiently and provide upwards of 5,000 nautical miles of range. She has a NAIAD/VOSPER VT 820 ZERO SPEED stabilizer system, Dynamic Positioning to allow her to stay in a fixed position without the use of anchoring and high-power electric thrusters. Atomic's delivery will happen after tests and sea trials are satisfied.
