XF80 Commences Construction At Voodoo Yachts

The 24-meter XF80 model has begun construction at Voodoo Yachts in New Zealand. This new model follows on from previous models like XF75 representing a natural evolution to the yard's high-performing range. The model has received firm orders and now has commenced build. This is a performance power cat but from the side profile one might not be able to tell.

Onboard the accommodations feature a full-beam owners cabin and the vessel can incorporate up to 5-cabin layouts. Owners can also opt to have crew onboard...allowing for 4 guest cabins and space for a dedicated crew quarters. Designed for longer range cruising or light expedition type operations the vessel blends a multiplicity of perks and range in terms of being able to operate at high speed, extended range or serve as a quasi expedition platform.

In fact, the builder suggested that there is an optional helideck configuration capable of accommodating helicopters such as the Airbus H145 or Bell 429-size aircraft. The XF75 gave performance speed of between 37-45-knots with a range 600 to 1,200 nautical miles under 30-knots. 8-knots the range increases to approximately 3,000 nautical miles. The XF80 is a larger slightly larger vessel promising up to 50-knot top speed.

The yacht features a 7.6-meter beam and has all the zones you would expect on a monohull at this length. Aft cockpit, flybridge, foredeck lounging and even a jacuzzi. As previously mentioned, the XF80 model has been optimized to be offered in multiple configurations. The model can suit the Sports Sedan, Open and Enclosed Flybridge variants as well as a Helideck variant for the further adventurous owner as has been seen on the XF75.
