  1. The Roll Out Of Van der Valk's "Venera"
The newest vessel from Dutch builder Van der Valk is being prepped for launching. The vessel has not hit the water as yet but it was rolled out from its building hall in preparation for that. Reports suggest that the vessel -to be called "Venera"-, will be officially launched in May. This yacht is part of Van der Valk's explorer line and is the third unit is this part of the line.
  2. The design is by Guido de Groot with Naval Architecture by Ginton Naval Architects. The interior design is also by Guido de Groot. This new yacht stretches close to 100-feet but not quite with an LOA of 28.5-meters. Ten guests will be accommodated onboard in five cabins. Two twins and two VIP-grade cabins are located on the lower deck for the guests while the owner has a master suite on the forward main deck. Below is a look at the principal master accommodation is expected to look like.
  3. Venera is expected to be powered by a pair of MAN V12 marine diesels. Each of those engines are rated at approximately 1,650 horse power giving her a projected top speed of 20-knots. As an explorer type yacht expect her to be sailing at much slower speeds to increase her range and autonomy as her owner takes her on a wider footprint. Come May, Venera should be in the water and fully on her way to final preparations for delivery.
