31-meter Burger Boat Project 'Northland' Taking Shape

American yacht builder Burger Boat is presently working on a explorer fisher type luxury yacht with an LOA of 31.55-meters. She is going by the Project name 'Northland' and it isn't clear whether this will be her final name when completed. New images emerged of the yacht in its build process state showing a completed steel hull. The three level yacht takes in design by Luiz de Basto both on the exterior and interior.

She is expected to be an efficient cruiser being able to run for 4,000 nautical miles at around a continuous 9.5-knots. That is thanks to dual CAT C18 ACERT marine diesels rated at around 475 horse power each. With the throttle fully forward top speed is anticipated to be just under 13-knots. The layout is a little different onboard Project Northland. That nice strip of glazing on the forward bow area usually suggests that a full beam master suite is in that area but once completed, you will more-than-likely find the dining area and library region there. In fact the owner's suite has been moved to the upper deck while guest suites are on the lower deck split between two doubles and two twins. See that transom? It was specifically built with sport fishing in mind and because this yacht will be visiting and passing through rich marine-life grounds it makes perfect sense. Construction is alot further along than this build photo suggests but we can expect completion around summer 2017.
