  1. MYS 2024 Top Ten Superyachts
It is now September and it is the month for two of the biggest Summer yacht shows, Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). The Monaco Yacht Show will be held in Port Hercule from the 25th of September to the 28th. Historically many of the largest superyachts attend the MYS to be put on display to potential buying customers. It is still the most prestigious show to further expose superyachts that are for sale as well as charter. This year will not be any different with some of the best being on display.
  2. First on the list is the is the brand-new 122-meter Lurssen superyacht "Kismet". The Kismet name is no stranger to the Monaco Yacht Show. In fact, the owner's previous 95.2-meter former Kismet (now "Whisper") has been to the show previously. The current Kismet is a significant step-up from the former offering more amenities and a fresh take on superyacht charter experience. Designed externally by Nuvolari & Lenard with an interior by the familiar Reymond Langton Design. The bow helipad, semi-subsurface cinema room, beauty salon/wellness center, expansive beach club, large main pool with waterfall, etc, are just a few of her highlights. Lurssen delivered the superyacht in May of 2024 having her ready for the Summer charter season. Now delivered, Kismet is one of the most expensive charter yachts in the world currently with a €3,000,000 per-week rate.
  3. Spanish yard Freire will have their 2023-build 111.85-meter superyacht "Renaissance" in Monaco. It is the largest superyacht built by this yard and is one of the most expensive charter yachts with a €3,000,000 charter rate. Bannenberg & Rowell are responsible for the expansive and luxurious 7,200 GT volume interiors aboard where up to 36 guests can call home during charter. Renaissance is a go-anywhere type superyacht with interiors and amenities to wow any client type.
  4. "H3" will be at the show too and despite her age, being built back in 2000, she just came off a total rebuild at Oceanco that lasted from 2020 through to 2024. This effectively returned her to a brand new yacht and giving her a new lease on life with a totally different exterior and interior. She will have the distinction of being the most expensive superyacht for sale at the show asking €295,000,000. When the yacht sailed as "Indian Empress" her length was 95-meters. Since the rebuild she was stretched to 105.3-meters and much of the superstructure was remodeled leaving very little of the original yacht to show.
  5. At 90.1-meter the Oceanco superyacht "DAR" will be among the largest yachts at the show. DAR stands out from most yachts thanks to her fairly unique exterior by Luiz de Basto. The hammerhead shark inspired exterior blends high aesthetics with function making her a potentially well-sought superyacht. In fact, she is for sale asking €208,000,000. Looking at the superstructure it is easy to see the extensive use of glazing throughout. Built as Project Y717 the yacht was launched in 2018 and has an interior by Nuvolari & Lenard. Despite her near-300-foot length she only carries around 12 guests. Top speed is approximately 20-knots thanks to employing 2 X MTU 4,828 horse power engines.
  6. At 85.3-meters, the Silver Yachts superyacht "BOLD" will be back at the Monaco Yacht Show again. Having been delivered back in 2019 the yacht has been part of the charter market. She charters for around €875,000 per week. The sleek vessel is a performance oriented yacht with a top speed of 23-knots and decent 5,000 nautical mile range as well as slim draft the yacht offers fast crossings and access to shallower areas where other yachts of similar length cannot safely maneuver in. 12 guests can sleep onboard and enjoy the VAIN studio interiors The exterior is the work of Espen Oeino.
  7. Another Oceanco that will be at the show and is available for sale is the 80-meter "Aalto" which was originally built back in 2007 as "Amevi". Her original interiors were the work of Alberto Pinto and can carry up to 16 guests in 8 cabins. The yacht has benefitted from several relatively recent refits, namely in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2024. Top speed is around 20-knots and she can easily cross the 5,500 nautical mile mark at cruising speed. €79,750,000 is the last known asking price.
  8. The Amels "Energy" is for sale and will be at the show. At 77.8-meters she is the first 78M Fully Custom designed by Espen Oeino. At the time she was the largest Amels yacht by volume measuring some 2,885 GT. Interesting fact is that the design collaboration is between Espen Oeino on the exterior and François Zuretti on the interior. This combination has not been seen since 74.5-meter superyacht "Eco" (currently known as "Zeus"). The Fully Custom superyacht can sleep up to 14 guests onboard with around 27 crew. Energy is for sale commanding €199,000,000.
  9. "Amaryllis", the 78.4-meter Abeking & Rasmussen superyacht will be at the show. Despite being built in 2011, the yacht has had major refit in 2019 as well as in 2022 so she will be in decent shape for the show. Her last asking price was €89,000,000. Reymond Langton was responsible for her interiors that carry 12 guests in 6 cabins.
  10. Another Silver Yacht is in this lineup but for sale. She is the 73.3-meter "Dragonfly" delivered back in 2009. Espen Oeino is on the exterior while Danielo Silvestrin penned the interior. Silver Yachts is known for building slender, low draft aluminium superyachts. This one can run at 22-knots when required. Originally called "Silver Zwei" she had a substantial refit around 2019 at Lurssen. Dragonfly is asking €27,000,000.
  11. "Loon" is a name known well in superyacht industry thanks to the vessel's heavy social media and online presence making her one of the most famous superyachts in the world despite being 'only' 67.5-meters. While she is a successful charter yacht, the yacht is now actually for sale. RWD penned the exterior while Studio Linse penned the interior. Up to 13 guests can stay aboard. Top speed is 16-knots but she usually cruises around the 13-knot mark. She was built by Icon Yachts in 2010 delivering as "ICON".
