  1. Summit 54; A Fresh Approach To The Kadey-Krogen
When you hear the name Kadey-Krogen a couple things may spring to mind immediately. The idea that the vessel will be one of traditional styling and slow and easy-going is likely to be forefront. You would not be mistaken either if this was your thought-process. The Summit 54 however, is the answer to a number of owner's request in the past. This was for the yard to produce a model or models that echoes the features and safety elements of the 42-year-old brand, but this time around with more speed.
  2. Summit Yachts is an offshoot of Kadey-Krogen and the Summit 54 is a more modern approach to their styling as well as offering more speed for customers. The Summit 54 is actually a 58.5-foot boat with a beam of 15.1-feet and a draft at half-load of just under 4-feet (3.7-feet). Displacement at half-load is around 55,400 lbs and she can take 2,839 LT of fuel and 814 LT of fresh water. Onboard on the lower deck there is a three-cabin layout that comprises of a full-beam master suite midships, a VIP V-berth in the bow and a third smaller berth. In the third berth Summit Yachts gives you the option of turning this space into a dedicated office if the extra cabin isn't needed by the owner.
  3. Power is provided by a pair of Cummins® QSB6.7, 542hp engines. These will allow a 330 nautical mile range at 23-knots. To control the speed of the yacht there are two helm positions. The fully-enclosed helm station on the starboard side forward main deck as well as one located similarly but on the fly-bridge. The flybridge has comfortable seating and sunpadded areas around the console area. Small Al-fresco dinners can even be accommodated on this deck. The aft of the flybridge is open and dedicated to the storage of the tender which is operated by its own deck crane. A timeless design crafted with proper boarding gates, fully-walkable side decks, beautiful, wrap-around windows, and interior features that make the most of weekend escapes, Summit MotorYachts brings to the dock a new perspective on lasting comfort and sophistication.
