  1. SilverCat Expanding With Two New Models
The SilverCat 36 is about to have siblings making the model a yacht range. The yard is adding two new models to the SilverCat lineup which will now have an entry-level vessel at 22-meters long and a slightly larger SC24 (23.9-meter). As you might expect, the two additions to the range will be based off the SilverCat 36 featuring design by Espen Oeino. The first hull in the entry-level SC22 is actually under construction and fairly advanced with the aluminium hull and superstructure mostly completed already.
  2. Hull 1 for the SC24 is set to commence build next month. While the new yachts will be based off the 36, they actually will have their own personalities, especially on the interior. Silver Yachts is designing the interior of the first SC24 while the interior of the first SC22 is actually being designed by Tillberg Design. Below we can see what the design language is going to be with this view of the very spacious salon area measuring approximately 65.5 square meters. Bare in mind this is a 22-meter vessel by has an enormous 10.8-meter beam.
  3. Silver Yachts expects to equip the SC22 with a pair of Volvo D13 engines which have around 1,000 horse power each. They will drive the boat to a speed of 20-knots and at 15-knots the vessel is envisioned to have a 685 nautical mile range. Of course a further speed reduction helps handily with an increase in range. The SC24 likely will be carrying the same engine package as standard from the SC22 but there is provision to customers who want faster speeds to have four Volvo IPS1050 which will take the vessel to an impressive 28-knot top-end.
  4. On the SC22 the exterior spaces are also imagined to have the pops of color seen on the interior. Vibrant orange and cobalt capture your attention on the sun deck with the villa-style aesthetic continuing. Comfortable furniture both built-in and movable take up residence under the substantial hardtop. Respite is taken in the shade but a glazing insert in the hardtop still permits overhead lighting to reach the al-fresco dining area.
