'Retro' Fjord 42 Open Delivered To Owner

Fjord UK is delighted to have delivered a 'Retro'-looking Fjord 42 Open to her owner. If you were at the 2018 Boot Dusseldorf Show you would have seen this same yacht on display there. After the show, Fjord said that they expected to deliver this boat a few weeks after. It has an interesting colour combination which is a bit different from what they usually do, paint wise. The rare combination of Camel Beige hull and the white gloss T-Top made for a unique looking Fjord. In the T-top as an optional accessory is an automatic sunshade that deploys from the back to shade the seating area from the sun.

Even though she is an open-style yacht you will find one sizable cabin below deck on the Fjord 42 Open. It is actually decently appointed with allowance of natural light from the top via a strip of glazing and on the sides. If the roof of the cabin isn't being used by guests for sunning with pads installed, the sun is free to filter in from above into the room. This is the largest cabin onboard but there is another smaller cabin with bunk-style lodging.

Her principle dimensions include an LOA of 12.59-meters, a BOA of 4.25-meters and a slim draft of 1.04-meters, easy for shallow confined exploration. Her displacement is just over 21,000 lbs or 9900 KG. Fuel tank storage is for 900 LT and freshwater holding for just under 300 LT. The standard engine setup onboard is a pair of Volvo IPS 500 (D6-370) which allow for a top speed of 34-knots. However, if you seek more speed, 2 x Volvo IPS 600 (D6-435) engines can get you up to the 40-knot barrier.
