  1. First 30M Launches At Princess Yachts
There have been a couple of new launches at Princess Yachts recently and one of them is the first hull in the new 30M series. The 30M series was only announced at the Cannes Yachting Festival last year, that would have been in September 2014. Thus, just over one year later we have the first hull in the flesh launched. She showcases a dark coloured hull with a contrasting white superstructure -fairly traditional in paint scheme-. The new yacht has been launched in time to conduct her sea trials satisfactorily and be prepared for the Dusseldorf Boat Show in Germany where she will make her debut.

  2. The Princess 30M offers some level of customization and can come in three or four cabin layout for guests. The owner suite is forward on the main deck and benefits greatly from generous side windows and a large skylight above to offer plenty natural light inwards during daylight periods. The large double bed is placed along the centerline but facing aft. This arrangement allows for a much grandiose entrance into what is rated as the best cabin onboard. Princess believes most people would prefer this option either way. Other guest accommodations are down on the lower deck while crew is slept in the bow on the same deck.
  3. Like on many Princess models of recent, the yard has made an emphasis on opening-up the interior of the main saloon. By that we mean, physically opening the main saloon. Larger windows help but with the addition of sliding glass doors to the starboard side, guests can now walk out onto the side deck directly from within the room. It also is a stunning feature while at anchor as the serene views can be taken in without even leaving the saloon. The room itself is tastefully decorated with use of light and natural tones. Shades of tans and browns are utilized throughout for a layered effect within the tonal values of earthy.
  4. Princess Yachts say there are engine options for this model which will naturally result in a faster top-end speed if that’s what a client preferred. The standard engine set-up appears to be twin MTU 12V 2000 M94’s rated at around 1,948 horsepower. That should allow her to cruise at just above 20 knots and top-out at 24-knots. The 98-tonne vessel is just shy of 100-feet as well measuring 30.48-meters. A comfortable beam of 7.05-meters or in the region of 23-feet should keep guests feeling pampered and less-squeezed as is the case on smaller models. Fuel capacity onboard is for 12,200 LT and if you should choose the most powerful engine package available –MTU 16V 2000 M94 (2 x 2,637mhp)- you may want to watch your fuel gauge a bit more closely. Top-end speed with this particular option is 27-knots depending on the load factor. If you are attending the Dusseldorf Boat Show in January 2016, the Princess Yachts 30M will be making her debut there and will also be the largest yacht on show!
