  1. Perini Navi Hands Over 70-meter "Sybaris"
Italian sail yacht specialist Perini Navi has handed over their largest Ketch-rigged sailing superyacht. The 70-meter "Sybaris" is also one of the largest sailing yachts the company has produced only second to the 88-meter "Maltese Falcon". United States firm PH Design worked on the massive interior and Perini Navi designed the exterior along with some sail plan work by Philippe Briand. That sail plan covers more than 3,000 square meters and is supported by a rig manufactured by Rondal.
  2. At 70-meters long and 13.24-meters wide there is sufficient room to carry a few tenders. Onboard Sybaris carries a pair of guest tenders both in the 7.0-meter range as well as a smaller 4.5-meter rescue/crew tender. All tenders are kept out of sight in their owner storage areas in the foredeck. Accommodation is for twelve guests in six cabins and a crew of eleven. Sybaris is a high-performing ketch with the capability of a 17.5-knot top speed. Her powered cruising speed is around 13-knots and has a range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles at 12.5-knots. Onboard she stores 73,000 LTs of fuel and around 126,000 LT of water. She has departed her Italian birthplace and is heading towards Monaco where she will be presented to the world later this month.
