Otam has launched the first SD35 yacht called "Gispy". Tommaso Spadolini is the designer both inside and out on this unique motor yacht. The layout of fairly simple but a bit different from the average vessel of her size. The owner pretty much has the entire upper deck for themselves as this deck is designed to be accessed only by the owner of the yacht. Look out for Gipsy premiering at the 2016 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) later this year.

Gipsy is also the first yacht of this size for the Otam company as they are primarily known for constructing fast open-style sports yachts. This semi displacement platform is a new area the yard is venturing into but so far the owner seems very happy with the product he is getting. Gipsy has already done a round of sea trials since being launched and indications suggest that a top speed of 20-knots was achieved and that she will have a range of just over 2,000 nautical miles. The guest layout for accommodation is on the lower deck featuring two twin cabins and two doubles. The master suite and deck space is on the upper deck. The interior is filled with neutral tones and has a light and airy feel to it. Since the master suite is not in its traditional forward main deck position, that area is the formal dining room. That's right, the formal dining room is full beam and has beautiful views outward thanks to the large vertical windows present.
