We might have seen the popular OA 30R and 28E from Ocean Alexander but we haven't seen the OA 32E as yet - at least up until earlier this year-. At the Miami International Boat Show in February the first OA 32E was on display for the first time. At the time there were three other units under construction with the second slated to launch soon (at the time). Evan K. Marshall has been behind the design of these vessels.

The OA 32E builds on the successes of the 30R as well as the smaller 28E. Measuring around 31.2-meters and a handy 6.7-meter beam there is certainly more space around than on the 28E. The internal volume measures 206 GT on this vessel vs 163 GT on the 28E. With the extra volume those 5 cabins onboard for 10 guests will feel a touch more spacious. Here is a look at what is available for guests as their overnight abode.

The 22-foot beam is felt in the main public areas onboard like seen here in the main salon. Large side windows also make the space feel larger with the amount of natural lighting that is cast to the interior. In this case it is a more traditional layout with the main salon towards the aft and then the formal dining area forward in the midship area. The area is spacious with room to place a large sofa as the main seating arrangement in this part of the yacht.

Moving upstairs we find the skylounge deck. The space shares real estate with the helm station but has an added feature that most guests will like; a side bar that is sure to be a gathering point. Libations at altitude are always a popular choice! Large side windows alloow guest to take in scenic vistas as the vessel moves within destinations.

The skylounge isn't the largest space but combine it with the aft deck and you instantly have a significant social area. Open the sliding glass doors and you will get the idea that is at work here. With the doors fully opened, comfortably allows indoor-outdoor flow thereby transforming what normally would be two separate spaces into one. The aft deck has a myriad of outdoor furniture that is modular and movable so you can change the layout as needed.

Forward of this space is the helm position. The raked windshield provides excellent views forward while side access doors permit egress to the wing areas for monitoring in close-quarters. Two helm chairs are positioned to give those in command respite on longer passages while the command area is minimized in its layout. Wide-format tri-panel displays provide all the relevant information needed for safe operation of the vessel as well as monitoring of systems aboard.

One of the benefits of the 32E is that is a bit larger than the 28E which translates into more room in many areas onboard. One of those areas that benefited from the extra room is in the crew areas. Since it is a larger boat, it carries 5 crew and as seen below there is a bigger crew area and mess available.

The OA 32E is a versatile boat taking the popularity and good things about the 30R and the smaller 28E. Should you choose you can get a fully-enclosed and air conditioned beach club area which is something not seen on the 28E. Since it is a slightly larger boat, there is more fuel capacity on board which allows for greater range. 13,500 LT of fuel can take you 1,400 nautical miles at 10-knots using the twin (2,000 horse power )MAN V12 diesels vs 1650 horse power on the 28E (and 1,200 nautical miles at 10-knots).
