  1. M60 Sea Falcon Revealed By MondoMarine
MondoMarine utilized the recently concluded 2015 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) to reveal another yacht design to the public. It is an M60 and yes we have had an M60 from this yard before but the 'Sea Falcon' as it is dubbed truly has no resemblance to their other M60 design. It exudes a sporty and sleek open appearance rather than the traditional motoryacht look at 60-meters. The design is a beautiful one facilitated by Luiz de Basto. Naturally with a look like the Sea Falcon, one expects her to be fairly fast -and she is-.
  2. Below decks, the M60 Sea Falcon will carry twin MTU 16V 4000 M73Ls which are powerful enough to run her up to a speed of 20-knots. A more powerful package would see her run at close to 27-knots. With the above setup though, cruising at 18-knots is very respectable but if you want to stretch that range, she can trot up to 4,100 nautical miles at 12-knots continuously. De Basto was not short of linking the interior with the exterior on this design for MondoMarine. The main saloon is a prime example of this where the bulwarks on the side decks fold down to create expanded space when railed around and the glazing slides back to open the majority of the saloon to the open air. The beam is fairly comfortable at 33-feet and exterior spaces are utilized well for lounging and relaxation. The long fore deck depicts a sunken pit for relaxing. We look forward to seeing the Sea Falcon some time in the future but for now, here is what we can look forward to from MondoMarine. At the end of 2015, the 40-meter SF40 will be handed over to her owner. In 2016, the 50-meter superyacht M50 as well as the M60S (which will be the first 60-meter to be finished by MondoMarine) will launch. Also keep an eye out for the the delivery of the M40Explorer and of the M54 in Spring of 2017.
