  1. 100+meter Superyacht Project 'Jupiter' Launches At Lurssen
Custom German superyacht builder Lurssen launched their latest superyacht this morning. In their usual modus operandi, there is hardly any information on this build due to confidentiality clauses. We do know that the design appears to be by H2 Yacht Design featuring many design elements found on other H2 designs like Fincantieri's Project Mars. We also believe firmly this is Project 'Jupiter' that was floated out from her build shed in the early part of 2015 and rolled in to the finishing shed subsequently. You would remember she was floated out without her bow and Lurssen made it their business to try to cover up the midships area with an oversized black sheer drape where the bulk of the fancy design elements are located.

  2. The exact length of Project Jupiter is not known but she appears to be close to 120-meters. There are six decks above the waterline and an apparent lack of a traditional sundeck. There is a large tender garage in the traditional aft lower deck position to house the yacht's sizable tenders. Project Jupiter's very sculpted and striking exterior is sure to turn heads even though she isn't completed. As more information comes to hand regarding this project YF will keep you in the know. Below is a photo of Jupiter by Claus Shaefe when she was moved into the finishing shed.
