Lexus/Toyota are at it again in the yachting sector believe it or not. The automotive company is further dipping its feet into the luxury yacht market with the LY650. You might remember that YF announced a concept for a V8 Twin Sport Yacht earlier this year in March. That vessel was only around 42-feet or 12.7-meters. At the time they said that this concept would eventually scale up to a 65-foot vessel, well here is that vessel, the LY650.

Essentially this is now their second model in the yacht sector. The yacht is actually under construction at Marquis' facility in Wisconsin where the 42-footer was built. Speaking of that 42-footer, that vessel is now being shown off in Japan and will become part of a permanent display eventually at the Toyota Museum in Tokyo. The LY650 has an interior that was designed by Italian studio Nuvolari & Lenard. Here is a glimpse of the proposed interior below.

You can expect that the guest cabins are all on the lower deck and benefit from ample glazing offered. The master suite is expected to be full-beam. Performance wise the LY650 will be powered by Volva Penta, a pair of 1350 Volvo Penta diesel engines with IPS drives to be precise. The yacht is expected to be completed by the second half of 2019 and naturally make its debut that year.
