  1. New Leven 90 Motor Yacht Launched

Back in August YF informed you about a new yacht under construction for Leven Yachts which was being built at Van der Valk and was in the last stages of construction. This vessel, the Leven 90 or 27-meter has now been launched and is being prepared for her debut at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The yacht is targeting shallow areas of the world to operate on and give its owner and guests a close encounter to the beach. With a draft of only 1.35-meters many places in the very shallow Bahamas environs is possible with this yacht.
  2. With Vripapck involved in the design and engineering of this project there is good Dutch expertise especially with Van der Valk working with aluminium for the construction. The interior is something special utilizing primarily light tones to help keep the interior spaces light and airy. This yacht has a galley with a view! It is located on the forward main deck where you might expect to have found a nav station. The nav station is on the forward flybridge.
  3. One thing that was not mentioned in the previous article was that there is an element of sustainable technology onboard in the form of photovoltaic panels lining the upper surface of the hard top. Given that the hardtop is about 9-meters long, this provides alot of sunning surface and the opportunity to create free electricity. This aids the yacht's silent mode feature as the panels on the hardtop feed clean energy to lithium-ion batteries. With the throttle fully forward, the Leven is expected to be able to make 26-knots with a 400 nautical mile range at cruising speeds.
