This is a name that we have not covered here on YF before but Koshi Marine is located in Kosovo and is offering their flagship model the Koshi 51. It is a carbon fiber performance center console and despite the company being on the other side of the world, it competes with names like Midnight Express, HCB, Scout, Nor-Tech, Cigarette Racing etc who all build models at this size bracket. What makes the Koshi 51 any different?

The Koshi 51 GranTurismo is a boat that is targeting a niche and not trying to run away with the entire market. The vessel is made from lightweight construction and is designed for high-speed operation and these facets are prioritized for performance versus boats that are utilized for more laid-back cruising comfort. People often ask if the yachts a fully made in carbon and the yard tends to respond. "Full carbon fiber monocoque. Hull, deck, structural members — all carbon, all in-house".

Koshi Marine is a division of the Koshi Group...and they develop and make carbon fiber parts for the supercar industry, so they know their way around the material. On the back of the yacht there are four Mercury 500 Racing engines on the GranTurismo version for a total of 2,000 horse power. Up to 14 guests can be onboard with the cruising speed at 62 mph. Top speed is actually above 100 mph and the range is 420 nautical miles. 1,550 LT is the capacity of fuel onboard.

Around the back there is an aft-facing sun pad and then forward inside the console area, the aft portion is has wrap-around bench seating. Forward of that there is an entertainment station that has a barbecue, sink, garbage, cooler, folding table etc. However, given that owners can customize to some degree, the entertainment area does not have to be there. A third row of bolstered seats could be an option. Forward is the nav station with two main screens. The bow has more lounging space. Inside there is space for a bed and ensuite bathroom. Given that it can function as a day boat, chase tender to a large yacht or even a weekender. The vessel is known as the Koshi 51 but it actually is 53-feet overall.
