  1. Hot Lab 63-meter Concept 'Aouda' For Sarp Yachts
Design Firm Hot Lab recently unveiled a 63-meter concept for Turkish builders Sarp Yachts. The design is a full displacement yacht called 'Aouda'. The yacht isn't just for spin and to garner conversation but it can be built with 28-months construction time being suggested. Construction would be using a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to LY3 and ABS standards. Power will come by a pair of CAT 3512C marine diesels each with around 1,500 horsepower rating. Top speed should be in the region of 16.5-knots with a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12-knots.
  2. Rising over four decks the 63-meter yacht is quite voluminous coming in at around 1,100 GT. Certainly her 11-meter (36.3-foot) beam helps tremendously in that calculation. There are numerous great spaces onboard Aouda. On the aft upper deck, there is a touch and go helipad but when not in use with can be fitted with outdoor furniture to allow guests to relax comfortably. All exterior decks are fitted with sunpads or oversized settees in some areas. Glass is a material that is extensively incorporated into the design not just for the windows but the bulwarks are actually glass as well to preserve the clear sight-lines outward from interior spaces. The interior design is contemporary and uses neutral and sandy textures and tones. Below you can see the main saloon and formal dining room's decor. The dining room can easily seat twelve at a large custom-made table.
  3. By far one of the best features onboard Aouda is the master suite. Not just for the wonderful views that are available but for the direct access to the yacht's 5-meter rectangular pool on the bow. From inside the room, the pool almost looks to flow straight into the room. The entire bow is dedicated to relaxation and swimming with enough space to set up loose outdoor furniture. For the owner or lucky guest utilizing the master suite they will be wowed by the luxurious appointments envisioned for the space. Sahara Noir marble, gold leaf, striped Delabrè brass and white walnut woodwork are some of the prominent high-end materials expected to finish the master suite. For now Aouda is a concept but it can be built within 30-months.
