  1. The New Horizon FD87 "Skyline" Nears Finish
Taiwanese yard Horizon Yachts recently released a few photos of the brand new FD87 model called "Skyline". They show the new vessel undergoing a myriad of tests including soaking trials to check for leaks around fitments. The yacht is finished in a cool blue paint job for the hull and traditional white for the superstructure, a combination sure to make her easily recognizable out on the water.
  2. Besides looking good, the Horizon FD87 is quite efficient being fitted with a high-performance wave-piercing bow. That appendage will be doing alot of the work rather than the main bow solely. Performance will come from a pair of CAT C18 ACERT diesels that will run her up to approximately 16-knots. Dial her back to about 9 or 10-knots and you can get respectable range out of her from the 13,170 LT fuel tanks. Each engine is over 1,100 horse power.
  3. Onboard, there are several zones to entertain guests. The main deck has the typical main salon as well as formal dining area. The lower aft deck is dressed with a small beach club area for guests to use. The sun deck has two regions, one enclosed sky-lounge and an open aft area where outdoor furniture can be set-up. Forward of the bridge will be a relaxation area too that can be shaded by a sun awning. Accommodation onboard is arranged for ten guests in five cabins. A full beam master suite is situated up front on the forward main deck, characterized by the fancily-shaped glazing. Below decks are three doubles and a twin for guests. There is also accommodation for three crew.
