  1. Holland Jachtbouw Launches J-Class Yacht "Topaz"
Dutch builder Holland Jachtbouw has launched their latest creation. She is called "Topaz", the J-Class yacht previously referred to as 'J8'. Launched and in the water already with her rig stepped, Topaz is anticipated to soon start sea trials. The yacht boasts exterior design by Hoek Naval Architects also Naval Architecture is by the same firm. The interior though, is created by Rhoades Young Design. The all aluminium yacht was initially built at Bloemsma and then transferred to Holland Jachtbouw for finishing.
  2. Topaz has an overall length of 42.62-meters and an overall beam of 6.85-meters. This J-Class is said to boast the longest waterline length of any J-Class to date. This latest addition to the J-class revival is set to rewrite the history books in terms of performance according to a special software program devised by Hoek Design that has been able to compare all the J designs from the 1930s. The actual yacht is finished in what appears to be a flag blue hull above the waterline and much like renders suggested a turquoise draft/underwater hull. Her superstructure is aluminium like her hull but veneered in wood to give the traditional appeal of the J-Class.
