44-meter "Gisa" Launches At Mengi Yay

After the news that Mengi Yay sold a 53-meter from their explorer XP line at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, the yard has launched their latest. The vessel is a 44-meter and was under construction as NB103. The yacht, now named "Gisa" is in the open and in the water presently and being prepared for sea trials and final finishing touches ahead of its delivery in June. Gisa represents the second big launch for Mengi Yay for this year.

Looking at the exterior, you will find design lines by VYD Studio in conjunction with Ginton Naval Architects. On the inside, five cabins will sleep up to ten guests along with five cabins for nine crew. Two twins, a double and a full-width VIP are situated on the lower deck while the main deck has the full-beam master suite forward on the deck.

The yard has another two yachts in build that they plan to deliver this year as well. NB104 which is a 39-meter along with NB100, a 47-meter. Earlier this year the yard launched the 23-meter hull NB 107. In the case of NB103 she is powered by a pair of CAT C18 diesels. This should permit a top speed in the region of 14-knots while she would sedately cruise along at 11-knots and have a range crossing the 2,200 nautical figure.
